All of my fiber pieces center around nature and the shapes, textures and small creations that we find within. I am a sucker for a beautiful fall color palette but also love experimenting with simple, all-white designs to showcase the textures and lines of the work itself.

My silk paintings tend to be abstract and play on the natural blending and swirling properties of hand-mixed dye paints and resists. I use 100% silk habotai for most of my “canvases” and I love the process of watching the colors mix and meld on the fabric as I drop different colors through. I try to let the piece guide me during this process and am looking forward to continuing the experimentation and narrative.
