I can’t believe it’s already July! The summer has been full of excitement and things are getting ready to kick into high gear for me in the next few months–I am having my debut “performance” as a fashion designer for the KC Fringe Festival fashion show, moving into a new apartment and getting ready for an amazing Colorado back country trip that is scheduled for the first weekend in August.
I’ve been working really hard to get this year’s artists lined up for the Fringe Festival Visual Arts event–and I have to say, I am humbled and excited by the quality of talent that we will be showcasing this year. You can find us at the Farm to Market event space at 20th and Walnut in the Crossroads District in downtown. Opening night party of the Festival is July 18th and we will have the Art Truck up and running once again this year for your viewing pleasure. Make sure to stop by the Spencer Theater at UMKC to see all the wonderful teasers by the performing artists for this year’s Festival.
As always, I am very excited and proud to be part of the KC Fringe Festival and all that it brings–I’ve learned a lot over the past 4 years as their Visual Arts Coordinator and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Happy Fringing! See you there!
